II SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION "PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONDITIONS OF DIGITALIZATION OF SOCIETY: CURRENT TRENDS"
On November 11th-12th, 2021, the Second Scientific-Practical Conference with International Participation “Professional Development in the conditions of Digitalization of Society: Current Trends” (PDDig – 2021) was successfully held at the State Institution of Higher Education “University of Educational Management” of NAES of Ukraine.
The conference was organized to implement the Concept of Digital Economy and Society of Ukraine, Internationalization Strategy of NAES of Ukraine, Joint Action Program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Development Strategy of SIHE “University of Education Management” for the period till 2024, Digitization Concept of SIHE "University of Educational Management" for 2021-2023 and was dedicated to the Day of Science.
The purpose of the conference was to summarize, present and test the results of scientific research and practical experience of professional development of specialists in the context of digitalization of society.
The conference-organizing institutions were: National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, SIHE “University of Educational Management”, Jan Dlugosz University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Czenstochowa (Republic of Poland), University of Occupational Safety Management in Katowice (Republic of Poland), Institute of Economics, Paata Gugushvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Harding Christian University (Searcy, AR, USA) and State Scientific Institution "Institute of Education Content Modernization" of MES of Ukraine
Conference program included a plenary session, image public sections and discussion panels.
At the plenary session of the conference the topical issues were considered: the innovative potential of SIHE "University of Educational Management" in the open globalized information society; foreign experience of professional development for the introducing innovations in local higher education; digital twin of postgraduate education institution as an ecosystem of professional development; creating a community of researchers in the online environment (encouraging participation in a safe online space); safety culture formation at University of Occupational Safety Management in Katowice; digital trends for education at present and possible trends for future; development of soft skills of future digital technology specialists; personal indicators of professional stress of workers who work remotely in quarantine due to pandemic.
Significant number of local and foreign scientists and practitioners made meaningful reports, presented the results of research work and published their own practical experience in the digitalization of science and education. More than 120 scientists, heads of general secondary, professional (vocational), higher education, doctoral students, graduate students, applicants for higher education took an active part in discussing current issues of the conference topic.
Petro Saukh, Academician Secretary of the Department of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of NAES of Ukraine, Hab. D. in Philosophy, Professor, Mykola Kyrychenko, Rector of SIHE “University of Educational Management” of NAES of Ukraine, Ph. D. in Philosophy, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine and representatives of foreign educational institutions who co-organized the conference addressed the participants of the plenary and sectional meetings of the conference.
The scientific platform of the conference was a unique place for creative cooperation, fruitful scientific, educational and social partnership of representatives of various fields, discussion and solution of topical problems of postgraduate education, formulation of proposals for legislation in adult education, consideration of ways to establish and strengthen effective cooperation between scientists and practitioners.
Following the results of the conference, the conference resolution was adopted and a scientific publication was prepared to highlight the main scientific results of the conference - Proceedings of Second Scientific-Practical Conference with International Participation “Professional Development in the conditions of Digitalization of Society: Current Trends” (PDDig – 2021).
