Fedorets V. М. Systematic and ontological aspects of rheumatism prevention in the context of forming the health preserving competence of a physical education teacher
The actuality of the problem of PE teacher’s health preserving competence development using the transfer of modern systems of rheumatism prevention and taking into consideration the principles of systemacy and ontological views is determined by the necessity of broadening the teachers’ knowledge about cardiac health. There is an important need to fundamentalize, acsiologize and technologize the heath preserving and professional knowledge.
Among the relevant aspects of rheumatism prevention, which are part of the target knowledge ontology, the following concepts and facts must be mentioned: the connection of the illness with the previously adopted tonsillitis, the dangerous period of disease development, i.e. the latent period of the disease which lasts 10–14 days after the tonsillitis; dependence of the pathology on the heredity factor, overcooling, infection and, to certain extent, stresses of various kinds and chronic overloads; the existence of complications in forms of acquired heart diseases, which lead to disabilities and death, etc. Certain pedagogical “health preserving” technologies in form of conditioning to the cold or constant overloading of pupils with morning exercises together with early beginning of education and its intensification may be the risk factors for rheumatism development.
Ontology based development influences the formation of the psychological component of the health preserving competence based on the realization and accepting the phenomenon of poly-ontologism of a child both in normal and pathology state. Reception of the ontological aspects of the health preserving problem influences the development of charity, tolerance, psychological reliability, mercy and responsibility as necessary components of the PE teacher’s health preserving competence. The innovative aspect of ontology based development, which is presented as the development of a teacher’s ability to effectively conceptualize problems related to pupils’ health, is determined. The ontological and health preserving aspects of the personal knowledge management are actualized. The ontological uniqueness and individuality of a teacher together with spiritual fulfillment are the basis for his or her professional accomplishment, creativity, pedagogical talent as well as the condition for preserving their own health.
