AIM AND TASKS

Mission of Library: development, forming and organization of using own and world information resources, appropriate scientific and educational processes of Ukraine, providing information, research needs of scientific and pedagogical collaborators of University, postgraduate students, learners of courses of qualification improvement, students, and other scientific collaborators of National Academy of Educational  Sciences of Ukraine by principles of  access, efficiency, information, comfortableness.

Service of readers is realized by Reading and Subscription Halls.

Main Functions of Library:

1. Realizes information and library and bibliographic service of users
2. Study information needs of users and executes operative providing information requests of scientists and students of University, using different forms and methods of individual, group and mass information
3. Improves the effectiveness of information support of users due to interactions with All-Ukrainian and field information centers. Provides users with access for information resources as in Ukraine as abroad.
4. Compiles and prepares lists of literature, forms electronic bases of data for assistance of scientific, educational and scientific work of Ukraine, executes all types of library references, organizes book exhibitions
5. Completes library fund with Native (including regional and local documents), foreign published and unpublished documents; scientific, educational, methodological, reference, scientific and popular literature, and also materials about  pedagogues-innovators and progressive pedagogical experience; professional periodical and continuous editions as by traditional information holders as by new holders according with thematic and typological plan  of completing
6. Realizes organization, rational placement and audit of base and assisting funds, their keeping, restructure
7. Analyzes systematic using of library funds with aim of optimization
