On November 25TH, 2021, Mykola Kyrychenko, Rector of SIHE “University of Educational Management” of NAES of Ukraine, held a business online meeting with representatives of Jiaxing University of the People's Republic of China on signing the Memorandum of Understanding.

On behalf of Jiaxing University the meeting was attended by Ms. Zhang Qi, Vice President and leading specialists of International Department. From the Ukrainian side, our University was also represented by Natalia Muranova, Vice Rector for Research, Education and International Relations, and Svitlana Hrytsai, Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Education.

Mykola Kyrychenko, of SIHE “University of Educational Management” of NAES of Ukraine, presented the University, outlined its main achievements in educational, scientific, international and innovative directions, described its structure to Chinese colleagues and expressed his position on developing partnerships with other countries and stakeholders.

Jiaxing University was introduced by Vice President Zhang Qi, who focused on its history, its students, the peculiarities of training, the number of scientific and pedagogical staff, the structure of the educational institution and its international activities. Ms. Zhang Qi thanked Rector Mykola Kyrychenko for his hospitality and opportunity for further cooperation in education and science, and said, "I am very grateful that we were able to contact you today despite the COVID-19 pandemic. This is my first acquaintance with Ukraine. I am very glad we can learn more about the education system in Ukraine and discuss further cooperation".

During negotiations an agreement was reached on academic mobility of students and research and teaching staff, guest lectures, development of joint educational and professional programs, joint scientific conferences, trainings, etc.

As a result of this international meeting Memorandum of Understanding between SIHE "University of Educational Management" of NAES of Ukraine and Jiaxing University of the People's Republic of China was signed and the main areas of partnership were defined.

In the context of promoting the integration of Ukrainian higher education system into the world educational and scientific space, it is important to emphasize the effectiveness of such memoranda in terms of providing real opportunities for professors, students and administration for professional development and improving the content of educational and professional programs. Thus, according to the annual report, the University has 45 partnerships and bilateral agreements with foreign higher educational institutions, as the number of foreign lecturers and research and training staff of UEM with such experience of teaching abroad should gradually increase.
