VISITING PROFESSOR PROGRAM: STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC EXCHANGE AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION BETWEEN SIHE "UEM" AND MARIA GRZEGORZEWSKA UNIVERSITY (WARSAW, POLAND)

The "Visiting Professor" Program launched in 2023 continues to be successfully implemented in 2024 within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between SIHE "University of Education Management" of NAES of Ukraine and the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw (Republic of Poland). This program was created for research and training stuff of Educational and Scientific Institute of Management and Psychology with the aim of bringing together the scientific university community from Ukraine and Poland, sharing experience and stimulating scientific research in the development of innovative ideas for long-term partnership.

At the invitation of Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw/Academy of Special Pedagogy Zinaida Smutchak, professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Management of the ESIMP, DSc in Economics, Professor, held lectures and practical classes in the format of - online using the Teams platform in English from 01.12.2023 to 26.01.2024.

Educational disciplines included:

  • Demographic Factors of Social Changes in Society;
  • Management of Educational Institutions;
  • Migrations Issues;
  • SocialWork in International Contexts.

There were lecture courses on researching, monitoring and forecasting demographic factors affecting social changes in society; on determing demographic and migration threats and threshold values (indicators); analysis of statistical data based on the study of European and international experience about the need to form a transparent demographic and migration policy based on public dialogue as a basis for effective positive changes in society.

The students successfully completed the tasks, presented them at the test and received high marks.

Professor Zinaida Smutchak as a participant of the "Visiting Professor" Program, received a great opportunity to expand her scientific contacts and establish new connections, to deepen her knowledge of local culture, language and traditions, that promotes mutual understanding and a warm atmosphere of cooperation with foreign colleagues.

The "Visiting Professor" Program is a key mechanism for promoting academic mobility and exchange of research and training stuff, HEI students between SIHE "University of Educational Management" and Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw.

This initiative opens up new opportunities for scientists to actively cooperate and conduct joint scientific research activities, implement joint projects that will contribute to their professional development and increase competitiveness in the international arena.
