Bruhovetska A. V. Professional features of tolerance heads general educational institutions depending on length of administrative activity
Analysis of practice of secondary educational institutions and relevant publications made it possible to conclude that there is a need for further research in terms of theory and practice to incorporate factors affecting the formation and levels of professional tolerance in secondary school principals at macro-, micro- and meso-levels.
The meso-level factors, which have both positive and negative effects on the formation of professional tolerance in secondary school principals, include organizational and professional factors (types of educational institution and principals' management experience).
The author empirically investigated the impact of organizational and professional factors on the formation of tolerance in secondary school principals. The principals' management experience was found to affect some characteristics of tolerance formed in secondary school principals by individual components (proper management tolerance, tolerance for interaction with the subjects of educational process, self-tolerance) and their elements. The obtained data on the organizational and professional characteristics of managers can be helpful in developing secondary school manager selection criteria.
