SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL STUDIES "LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: CHALLENGES OF NUS" IN THE EDUCATIONAL ACTION OF CIPE "EDUCATIONAL FIRE OF VICTORY"

On March 22nd, 2023, within the framework of "Victory Horizons of Education" Action, Scientific and Practical Studies "Methodology and Practice of Professional Development of Managers in Education" united more than 200 managers, pedagogical and scientific workers from regional institutions of postgraduate pedagogical, higher and general secondary education as well as centers of professional development of pedagogical workers and NGOs from 18 regions of Ukraine.

The event on "Leadership and Management: Challenges of NUS" was organized by the Department of Education Management and Law of CIPE of SIHE "University of Educational Management" and Virtual Department of Education Management of the Ukrainian Open University of Postgraduate Education (Head of Departments - Zoya Ryabova), co-organizers are the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine, Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of Voznesensk City Council of Mykolaiv Region (Director - Lyudmila Kolosova), Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of Drogobytsk City Council of Lviv Region (Director - Halyna Marchuk).

The meeting was moderated by Zoya Ryabova, Head of the Department of Education Management and Law of CIPE of SIHE "University of Educational Management", Hab. Dr. in Education, Professor; Nadiya Lyubchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Education Management and Law of CIPE of SIHE "University of Educational Management", Ph.D. in Education, Associate Professor.

Scientific and practical studies as a form of advanced training in the system of post-graduate education was launched by the Department of Education Management and Law in 2020. Twice a year, during international or all-Ukrainian exhibitions, scientific and practical conferences, forums of various levels, studies are held within the scientific research topic of CIPE "Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of the Transformation of Professional Development of Pedagogical and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers in the conditions of an Open University of Postgraduate Education". In January 2023, this format for upgrading the level of professional competence of educators was secured by the copyright of the team consisting of Tamara Sorochan, Zoya Ryabova and Nadia Lyubchenko (certificate No. 116227 dated January 30th, 2023). On May 15th, 2022, the Department conducted scientific and practical studies on the topic "Transformation of General Secondary Education: Challenges of Martial Law and Post-War Times" within the framework of the UEM’s "Victory Horizons of Education" Action.

For several years, the Department of Education Management and Law has been cooperating with the central state authority - the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine, the Centers for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of Voznesensk City Council of Mykolaiv Region and Drogobytsk City Council of Lviv Region, their leaders becoming speakers at scientific and practical studios.

The participants of the studies were informed about the current problems and promising directions of the development of general secondary education:

  • "Conducting Self-Assessment in General Secondary Educational Institutions";
  • "Professional Cluster of the Head (Director) of a General Secondary Educational Institution: Project, Partnership, Toolkit";
  • "Professional Development of Teachers Through the Prism of Establishing a Balance between Individual Educational Needss and Regional Opportunities";
  • "Leadership and Team Management";
  • "Personality Socialization in the Context of the Challenges for New Ukrainian School";
  • "NUS in 5th Grade: Innovations and Features (from Work Experience)";
  • "National and Patriotic Education - Challenges for New Ukrainian School".

 

The atmosphere of interest and creativity at the webinar proved the relevance of the initiated form of scientific and practical studies for constant communication for the professional development of managers in the field of education in the system of postgraduate education.
