The decision on retraction is made by the Editorial Board after proper consideration, which may include consultations with authors, reviewers, members of the Editorial Board, or independent experts. The retraction procedure can be initiated by authors, readers, reviewers, or the Editorial Board. All appeals must be submitted in written form with appropriate justification and, if possible, evidence. The Editorial Board confirms receipt of the appeal within 7 working days and ensures its impartial consideration.

During the consideration process, the Editorial Board adheres to the principles of:

‒ objectivity and impartiality;

‒ confidentiality;

‒ transparency of procedures;

‒ timeliness of decision-making.

The time frame for considering each case is determined individually but generally does not exceed 30 calendar days. Authors have the right to be informed about the progress of the consideration, to receive a reasoned decision from the Editorial Board, and to file an appeal, which is considered within the established deadlines.

If a decision on retraction is made:

‒ the publication is not removed from the electronic archive of the Collection of Scientific Papers;

‒ a clear "ВІДКЛИКАНА / RETRACTED" mark is applied to the article;

‒ a separate retraction notice is published indicating the reasons;

‒ a link is established between the original article and the retraction notice;

‒ the relevant information is transmitted to indexing and scient metric databases.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to initiate a review of published materials regardless of the presence of external appeals. This policy may be reviewed and updated in accordance with changes in COPE recommendations and international editorial practice.
