RESEARCH AND TRAINING STAFF AS WELL AS STUDENTS OF ESIMP TOOK PART IN THE WORK OF KONGRES WSPÓŁPRACY TRANSGRANICZNEJ

From October 9th to 11th, 2023, Kongres Włosprący Transgranicznej was held in the city of Lublin (Republic of Poland). The congress was organized in a mixed format.

On October 9th and 10th, 2023, Oksana Dubinina, Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Project Management of Educational and Scientific Institute of Management and Psychology of SIHE “University of Educational Management” of NAES of Ukraine, PhD. in Pedagogical Sciences, and Andrii Borovyk, post-graduate student, joined the Congress. Migration issues were discussed as they are relevant in the conditions of geopolitical changes in society and the war in Ukraine. Best practices of cities regarding projects implementation aimed at the development of the young generation are presented, in particular, by the youngest mayor of Ukraine, volunteer, public figure, political scientist by education Oleg Volskyi (Zhovkva). He emphasized the preservation of architectural monuments and the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people on developing education and cooperation between European cities.

During the Congress, panel discussions and debates highlighted implementing projects aimed at developing young generation in cities, project activities of local communities to support young people and address their needs and aspirations. Experts from such countries as Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Norway, Ukraine, and Great Britain took part in the work of the Kongres Wspósplacry Transgranicznej.

Issues regarding the war in Ukraine and its long-term consequences were especially acute. Accordingly, Congress participants discussed the issue of migration of young generation and its role in intercultural integration.

Study visits to youth hubs where the city's youth presented their projects and shared their implementation experience became an important element of the Congress program. Also, a grant fair was organized where participants were introduced to current competitions for obtaining grants from Education System Development Fund and International Visegrad Fund, as well as the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine Program 2021-2027.
