OPEN ACCESS, ARCHIVING, AND LONG-TERM OPEN ACCESS PRESERVATION POLICY
The scientific periodical the “Bulletin of Postgraduate Education: Collection of Scientific Papers. Educational Sciences Series'” is an open-access scientific publication. All published articles are free to view, read, download, and print.
Open Research Data Policy
The Collection of Scientific Papers supports the principles of open science and encourages authors to ensure the transparency of research processes. Authors must provide sufficient information regarding the obtained data, methods of their processing, and analysis, so that other researchers can verify, reproduce, or develop the results.
Adherence to FAIR principles. The Collection of Scientific Papers encourages authors to adhere to the international FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)—to ensure the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of data. This enhances the scientific quality of research and facilitates its integration into the global scientific environment.
Adherence to CARE principles regarding sensitive data. In the case of working with sensitive data (for example, data of vulnerable groups, personal or ethnographic materials), authors must adhere to the ethical CARE principles (Collective benefit, Authority to control, Responsibility, Ethics), take responsibility and observe ethical norms, and ensure the protection of privacy and compliance with applicable legislation.
Archiving Policy
The editorial office of the Collection of Scientific Papers strives to provide open, long-term access to scientific publications and takes all necessary organizational and technical measures to ensure the backup and open access to the content of the Collection of Scientific Papers. The purpose of archiving is to guarantee the long-term preservation of scientific materials, ensuring their security and continuous access to them by the scientific community.
Encouragement of data hosting. The Collection of Scientific Papers encourages the publication and exchange of open data in accordance with the Panton Principles and the FAIR Data3 principles. Materials can be published in various ways, in particular, by being deposited in data repositories linked to the corresponding article. Datasets must be hosted in an appropriate reliable repository, and the associated DOI of the dataset must be added to the data resources section of the article. The Editorial Board of the Collection of Scientific Papers recommends hosting the datasets used in the research in open repositories that guarantee long-term preservation and free access (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, OSF, or other reliable platforms). References to such repositories should be provided in the article in the form of stable identifiers (e.g., DOI).
Each published article: ‒ is permanently accessible on the website of the Collection of Scientific Papers without time restrictions; ‒ has a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which guarantees the stability and longevity of the link.
All publications are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution International (CC BY) license, which allows the free preservation, distribution, and reuse of materials with attribution.
Storage Locations
Each issue of the publication is released in printed and electronic form. The electronic version is subject to mandatory placement in open access on the page of the Collection of Scientific Papers on the website of the State Higher Education Institution "University of Educational Management" of the NAES of Ukraine (http://umo.edu.ua/serija-pedaghoghichni-nauki). Electronic copies of all issues of the publication are also transferred for storage on the platform "Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine" of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine of the NAS of Ukraine.
Archiving Frequency
The electronic version of the Collection of Scientific Papers is archived after the publication of each issue, ensuring the continuous and timely preservation of scientific works.
Licenses and Permissions
All archived content retains its original licensing terms. This guarantees readers and researchers the opportunity to use the materials under the same conditions as during their initial publication.
Archiving Policy Updates
The archiving policy is reviewed every two years to comply with best practices in the field of scientific publishing and content preservation. Any updates or changes will be announced on the page of the Collection of Scientific Papers on the official website of the State Higher Education Institution "University of Educational Management" of the NAES of Ukraine.
Self-Archiving
Preprint
The author may deposit a preprint (the version of the publication that has not undergone peer review) in any repository, provided they reference the publisher and the Collection of Scientific Papers in the format: "This is a preprint of a material submitted for publication in the the “Bulletin of Postgraduate Education: Collection of Scientific Papers. Educational Sciences Series'”, published by the State Higher Education Institution "University of Educational Management" of the NAES of Ukraine."
Post print
The author may deposit a post print (the final version of the article in the format of a PDF file created by the publisher) in any thematic national or international repository, indicating the publisher, the title of the Collection of Scientific Papers, and the article's DOI.
